Good news for the tai-tais shopping in Central. Cafe Landmark in the atrium's mezzanine is now open again so they can enjoy afternoon tea and have a place to rest their heels between shopping. The M.A.X. Concepts group refurbished the restaurant and hosted a cocktail on Monday night to celebrate. As if there weren't enough socialites in attendance, the occasion also kicked off a new fund-raising project with the Wai Yin Association, the charity group comprised exclusively of former Miss Hong Kong contestants. The second runner-up in 1985, Ellen Wong (left), and actress/Miss Hong Kong 1989 Monica Chan Fat-Yung (centre, next to a performer at event) did the promotional honours.
'This is the first time Wai Yin paired up with the Maxims Group on a charity event,' Chan said. 'They're kind enough to help sell our 25th anniversary photo album at all Maxims outlets, with proceeds going to a new foundation fund specifically to assist earthquake victims.'
Further, if you'd like to get philatelic with some Miss Hong Kongs - that means stamps, you perv - Wai Yin now has something for you, too.
